HP Deskjet printer buying guide

My family just bought an HP Photosmart C4280 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, and Copier. Everything went well except for one thing, when I plugged in the USB and let the driver software install, a screen came up that said:
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
HP Photosmart C4200 Series
The specified module could not be found.
I’ve already tried the following:
1) Unplugging and re-plugging the USB cord
2) Re-installing the printer software
3) Looking at HP’s site (they didn’t have anything for that particular problem)
PLEASE HELP ME. It’s crucial that the printer work, I have many assignments coming up that MUST be printed.

open the HP Director, click on Settings and move the mouse to Print Settings -> Printer Toolbox (then left click). A new window opens “HP xyz series Toolbox” with a Tab “Estimated Ink Level” there it shows you more or less accurate how much ink is left in the cartridges.

I am trying to copy a few pic onto my travel drive so I can print the pics on my HP Photosmart………. when I put the flash (travel drive) into the photosmart printer it says -0- prints……..I know how to do it, why would it not be saving onto the flash??? Thank you

I have a HP Photosmart 2575 All-in-One printer and have been refilling the ink cartridges by injection from refill kits. I am careful with my methods and follow all instructions but with variable results. Sometimes they work well but at other times one or other colour refuses to print. Any suggestions for consistent results. Thanks, Mick

I have a HP Deskjet 920c Printer that will not turn on, when I first plug in the power supply, the 3 lights on the display just flickers. Then it wont do anything else. I’ve tried to replug to power supply in and out.
